[Hello former roomie... Alisaie is coming to find you in the kitchen :) This time, however, she's carrying a bucket with her.]

Have I told you yet that you're a treasure? I'd be lost were it not for you and Nero.

[Well, maybe not entirely lost, but... let's not consider it too hard, we don't need to think about Alisaie's food crimes.]

[ Nanaly brightens when she hears that now-familiar voice, turning down the heat on the burner and then looking to Alisaie with a smile. ]

Mm, not yet, I don't think, but I'm open to hearing it!

[ Raising her eyebrows at the bucket... ]

What, are you gonna put in a big takeout order today?

Of course--you know me. [She may not know what a takeout order is, but she can play along well enough.] Always demanding more.

[She'll offer a smile back before thumping the bucket up onto the table.]

You participated in our "treasure hunt" earlier, yes? Allow me to present you with the finest treasures of the day.

[A bucket of fish, some of them still giving pathetic little flops. Most are sandy. Some are bioluminescent!]

The entire time we were retrieving "treasure," we were being pelted with fish and other debris from geysers outside of the Bubble. I hope you had an easier time of it?

[ Honestly, it's probably just a vague theoretical concept to her too, but it seems appropriate here!! ]

Whoa, nice! I'm kinda jealous, I spent way too much time the other day trying to figure out how to fish from in here... though I'll admit the geysers don't sound too great.

[ Hmmm, it's probably not too late to tweak this soup she was just finishing up into a fish stew if she uses the right spices? ]

We had this treasure chest that was super easy to find, but it was actually some kind of weird monster. I've heard a few stories about 'em back home, but I didn't realize they were actual things.

A treasure chest that was actually a monster? [awful.....] I too have heard stories of them, but I've not actually encountered one myself--though a friend of mine has a time or two.

If you'd like, I'll gladly show you where we searched. If you're careful and time it right, you should be able to avoid the worst of the falling debris.

[Unlike... the four of them... so many fishslaps..... so many.]

Yeah, I'd be up for checking that out sometime! Though I guess it's less of an immediate concern when you've got a haul like this.

[ Rinsing one of the fish and then just chopping its head right the hell off. ]

Did you actually have to go through the bubble to get to 'em?

[Good-bye, fish. You will not be missed.]

I believe the others took their share of fish as well. Between the four of us, we may not need to replenish our food stores for a few days.

We didn't have to leave the Bubble, no, though I suppose our task might have proven easier had we asked to do so. When the geysers erupted, their strength proved such that the fish were pushed through the barrier with surprising force.

[She's going to have bruises from fish.]

Sheba and I had our hands full ensuring the others were not hit by them while searching.

Mm, we don't really have a good icebox or anything, so we might wanna try to dry and smoke some of 'em if we've got that many...

[ moves on to fileting this sucker... ]

Jeez, I didn't even know things could go through the barrier like that. You're not hurt, are you?

Only my pride. [Well.] Mayhap some bruising here and there from some of the other debris, but nothing I've not dealt with before.

[Moving on, though!]

What more would we need to dry and smoke the extra fish? If there is aught we don't have here, I can go and find it.

[Sometime during the afternoon, Alisaie will be tracking Nanaly down, a look of agitation on her face when she finds her.]

Nanaly? Have you seen Alphinaud today?

[ ? She hasn't spoken to him today, at least, but she has to think for a moment about whether she's caught a glimpse of him today at all. ]

Mm... Not that I can remember.

[ She frowns; the implication of the question seems pretty clear. ]

You can't find him?

No. [She shakes her head.] I haven't seen him since yesterday. This isn't normal.

[Nanaly, by this point, will probably also know that this is unusual. The two of them can be found together at some point every day, even if it's just for a few minutes between everything else or at the end of the night. That she hasn't seen him at all today?

Something's wrong. She's convinced of it.]

[ Ah... She nods. ]

Yeah, that seems weird that he'd go someplace without telling you if it was going to take that long. When he went out to that old ship the other day, you knew that was happening?

[She shakes her head.]

Not that I would have expected him to tell me. We can-- ["each look after ourselves," is what she's about to say, but her words break as it hits her all over again. Right now, without their powers, she's not sure Alphinaud can take care of himself.

Focus. She takes a breath, then starts again.]

In normal circumstances, Alphinaud would be more than a match for anything he encountered on that ship. The two of us are accustomed to working separately when we must needs collect information, so it isn't surprising that he wouldn't mention it.

But he would have told me ere leaving if he anticipated being gone for more than a couple hours. I should have seen him this morning.

[ Another nod. She's probably lucky she's never had to rely on her spells too much, so losing access to them is just a mild inconvenience instead of a big adjustment. ]

Well... If he doesn't have the same abilities as normal, then maybe he just underestimated how much of a challenge something would be and got caught up in it? It's pretty easy to lose track of time down here when we're so far away from the sun too.

[ She doesn't want to diminish her concerns, especially since they're completely valid when they're in a strange place none of them really understand, but it's worth remembering that it isn't necessarily a worst-case scenario. ]

I know there's no way of knowing if that's the case, though, so it's natural to be worried. Do you want me to help you look for him?

I'm going to continue searching for him, but if you've something else you planned to do, I wouldn't begrudge you for attending to that instead.

All I ask is that if you see him, let me know as soon as you can.
