Thanks. Probably a good idea anyway; I think we were all kind of doing our own thing and I'm not sure I remember where you guys put all the wire traps. Don't have to do it right this second if you've got other stuff going on, though... or, you know, if you don't feel like going back out there already.
Yeah! I mean, I usually don't have to make 'em from scratch like this, but when I got my bow back the other day it didn't have any arrows with it, so I kind of improvised. Why, you want some?
[ He'd look kind of dorky with a sword, anyway. Could probably pull off an axe, but axes just make her think of a certain dumbass, so she's not gonna suggest that! ]
Well, if you want any training or anything, I can help you out with that too! I've been showing one of my kids how to use a bow lately... Didn't get too far with it before I had to leave on a surprise trip, though, so I guess I could use a little teaching practice myself.
I dunno, I can't really picture you with most weapons, I guess? And you seem to jump right into stuff, so just going up to a monster and punching it without anything fancy seems kinda fitting.
[ She can't immediately think of anything she'd want in return, but she's not looking to charge anyway. She'll keep it in mind, though; maybe he's got some cool skills she doesn't know about yet. ]
Sure thing! Just grab me whenever you wanna practice, then.
[ Let's see, where are the ends of this trap tied, she didn't set this one up... ]
[ he knows he's a gut instinct type, so that makes total sense. but surprisingly, he doesn't trip on the trap! ... for now, at least. he's crouching down to start picking at part of it to get one side dismantled. ]
Well... yeah... But at least we've got something more to go on now?
[ They'll eventually end up at the tree in the courtyard where she set up the net trap before, so she'll climb back up into the branches with remarkable ease and work on untying the knots. ]
What'd you guys think about that, anyway? [ Kind of shouted from up in the tree. ] The way they just went right after him and everything.
[ The net disappears up into the branches as she gathers it up. ]
Seeing that guy all empty like that all of a sudden, it kind of reminded me of people back home. I mean, there aren't any spectres or anything involved in that; everyone pretty much chooses it for themselves, but.
[ There's some rustling up in the leaves, and then she hops back down from the tree with the net in hand. ]
If that's what they do to people, then I really want to do whatever I can to stop it.
[ Even if it's just attempting stupid jar traps. ]
... Well, now that you mention it, there is a similar phenomenon where I'm from. I know of a country with no name, where its citizens voluntarily give up their emotions, believing them to be the source of evil.
[...]
Though even that wasn't quite as... disconcerting as what happened today.
Really? Ugh, I would have hoped my world was the only one that was that messed up... It was pretty much the norm there. Go to the capital and devote your life to the goddess, get a number instead of a name, never have to worry about anything again. People like us who rejected all that were the weird ones.
[ It's not quite the same thing, but seems like the results are probably pretty similar anyway.
Hm. ]
I dunno, you think it's anything like that here? The "source of evil" thing? Take someone who's proven to do bad things and purge it out of 'em?

Oh, right. The traps. I kind of forgot about them in the commotion...
no subject
... Ah, yes. Those.
no subject
[ is it........ ]
Anyway, I'll work on taking those down so people don't keep running into 'em. [ ... ] Honestly, those weren't what I was picturing at all.

At least we know now. [...] Well, I can take responsibility for my actions, so I suppose I can assist.

Speaking of which, Nanaly, I heard you were skilled in sharpening arrowheads?

Yeah! I mean, I usually don't have to make 'em from scratch like this, but when I got my bow back the other day it didn't have any arrows with it, so I kind of improvised. Why, you want some?

Someone kindly gifted me with a bow, so I've been trying to make arrows. Any know-how you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

[ is that an arrow pun? unsure ]
You're not new to archery, are you?
[ and to Kotetsu-- ]
Hey, what's your fighting style, anyway? It was pretty vague on that scroll, wasn't it?
[ granted, they were kind of focused on the not being able to run part ]

Mostly hand-to-hand combat. I have a few gadgets, but I mainly rely on my strength.

[so kind of, yes.]

[ Ah, there's one of those wire traps up ahead! ]

[ he's certainly not bothered by that comment, just curious about it. but good, good! he's beelining to it. ]

... I suppose I won't reject the assistance. Of course, if there's anything you need in return, simply let me know.

She'll gather up the cans or whatever as they take them off the wire! One thing they can say for these traps is they held up pretty well, at least. ]
Now that we've actually seen those things, I wonder if maybe we could catch 'em in a jar or something instead...

[ once disarmed, he's moving on to the next ]

Though I suppose that reasoning is how we ended up with all these traps.

I... don't know. It's was a lot to process, I'm not even sure what to feel right now.

... Indeed. Something like this is certainly far outside my area of expertise.

It's not out of the question, albeit a somewhat horrifying thought.
